ladies & gents, i did dragon boating for the first time today and it was awesome fun!

you see, there's this programme that's for selected students from the 5 colleges under the ITE College WEST cohort. we're expected to attend various courses, workshops and activities to groom us to be "well-rounded". and one of the activities was the DRAGON BOAT! it's suppose to teach us teamwork and leadership.

so, it was at freaking 2 in the afternoon under the scorching sun. there were only 7 girls out of about 30 who attended, by the way. yours truly was so the very super excited. semangat tak terhingga lah sey nak dayung sampan.

when we were getting into the boat, the instructor made me sit at the back. i didn't know what to expect at all, so i just sat at the back and thought it'd be fun 'cause then i'll be able to get a good view of everyone in the boat. NOT.

orang tu (read: me) semangat berkobar-kobar lah as usual, bila suruh pekik, dia lah yang paling kuat. bila tak suruh pekik pun, dia lah yang paling kuat. but i had to keep my eyes shut most of the time 'cause everyone in front of me were paddling so hard and the water kept going into my face & my eyes! PEDIH LAH MAK NGAH!

we were still pretty dry initially, and then just as i was wiping my eyes so i could finally see, the instructor shouted something and everybody from the 3 boats started paddling and splashing water, LOTS OF SALT WATER, at each other. knncb, i was fucking drenched lah can! so i joined in and splashed water like i've never splashed water before. In the middle of Kallang River no less! hurhur.

i had lots of fun today. and made a lot of new friends! there were lot of older guys in the group, aged 25-35. that's 'cause some of them are actually in the Navy or the Armed Force and have been sponsored to get a certificate from ITE. coolness, no? in fact, there's one who's 35 and married. i bet you've never seen a 35-year-old married man in SCHOOL uniform. heh.

i wanna go dragon boat-ing again!

my english is deteriorating. i feel.
