remember how my father used to tell us lame jokes? well, he decided to try something different tonight. Here's something for you all to think about, please feel free to leave a comment and whatever sensible answers you can think of. =)
1)
3 diners ate $25 worth of dinner at a food place.
each gave a $10 note to the waiter.
$30 - $25 = $5
the waiter then had $5 with him and decided to give $1 to each diner and keep the $2 for himself.
$5 - $3 = $2
that means, each diner paid $9 for their dinner, correct?
$10 - $1 = $9
so, if
$9 x 3 = $27
and the waiter kept the $2
$27 + $2 = $29
where did the $1 go?
2)
a man was driving his van along a deserted road. the van's headlights were spoiled and couldn't be used. and the streetlights were not working either! the man drove cautiously when he suddenly stopped the van to avoid hitting a pedestrian. but, how was he able to see the pedestrian?
Have fun! for those of you who are having your school break (yay!), you have 3 whole weeks to think about it? Hurhur.
